My favorite part about shooting an engagement session is learning about the couple… learning about their style, their favorite things to do together, and what they want out of their engagement session. Once I have an idea of who they are and what they’re looking for, I put on my thinking hat, slip on my scouting shoes and head out with my camera in hand to find a shoot location that fits them to a ‘T”. So when Dayna and Tim shared that they love being around water and will be having a beach wedding in Mexico next year, I was giddy with the opportunity to find a new locations that would be just right for them.
I had never been up to Bartlett Lake before, but I had heard that some beautiful wildflowers are in bloom up there for a short period of time. While we just missed the wild flowers blooming, we were able to capture some beautiful lake views, desert landscape and a stunning sunset. Here are a few of my favorite images from the shoot.
Congrats, Dayna & Tim!!! Enjoy every second of your destination wedding in Mexico. 🙂 Wishing you many years of happiness to come!
